NATURAL RUBBER - NR

It is the only one of the rubbers that is extracted from nature, it is widely used in applications where high elongation, very good physical properties and dynamic behavior are required.

ACRYLIC NITRILE RUBBER - NBR

It is used in applications where good physical properties are required, together with good swelling behavior in media such as oils and/or gasoline.

Its typical use is static seals, couplings, hoses, diaphragms, etc.

It has very good resistance to gas permeability.

It is ideal for oil transport hoses, printing rollers, etc.

Requires the use of protection agents for better performance.

In general, it is used for the elaboration of technical articles.

Technical Properties Material
Industrial Nitrile (NBR-HT/FDA)

It is a peroxide cured Nitrile rubber, it can be used for food applications and a wide range of mineral products based on oils and fats. NBR-HT (high temperature), for industrial applications, because they are practically the same in almost all uses.

Its resistance to nitric acids and oxidants (ozone) is very minimal, so care must be taken in its application. This tends to get brittle and hard when exposed to high temperature air.

Applications in faucets and water management.

Applications of oil, air and fuel filter components in motor vehicles.

Shore A hardness from 35 to 80.

Tensile strength limit of 15 MPa.

Percentage of elongation at break of 210%.

Approved for the food sector.

Continuous maximum temperature resistance: 130°C.

EPDM RUBBER

It is used in applications where good physical properties are required, together with good swelling behavior in media such as oils and/or gasoline.

TECHNICAL PROPERTIES MATERIAL EPDM (FDA)

It is a cured peroxide of Ethylene and Propylene rubber (EPDM), for food and industrial application. With excellent resistance to high temperatures, steam, oxidizing agents and diluted acids.

Standard material for aqueous food uses.

It is not resistant to oils and hydrocarbon solvents. They are sensitive to ultraviolet radiation and light.

Steam applications, it is the best material of all for this application.

Excellent performance, in district heating uses.

Applications in sealing components for hydraulic brakes.

Shore A hardness from 35 to 80.

Percentage of elongation between 180% up to 240%

Depending on the formulation of the rubber.

Maximum temperature 130°C.

sbr rubber

SBR is a synthetic rubber that is obtained from a mixture of styrene and butadiene, it has characteristics and is similar to natural rubber, so its applications can be the same. it is created under the need to obtain a synthetic rubber in case of decrease in the production of natural rubber.

Excellent resistance to abrasion, tearing, bending and impact.

Use temperature between –10 °C to 70 °C.

Shore A hardness from 35 to 80.

Excellent electrical resistance.

Good resistance to water but poor resistance to water vapour.

Low resistance to weathering, ozone, sunlight and oxidation.

Very low gas permeability.

They do not have resistance to hydrocarbons.

Low resistance to diluted acids and oils

SBR rubber is used in the manufacture of belts, hoses for machinery and engines, gaskets, and brake and clutch pedals. We can also find them in household products such as toys, putties, sponges and tiles.
